You must be 18 years of age or older to play Lotteries.

We do not allow minors to purchase entries into Lotteries in-store, and conduct proof of age and identity checks to prevent minors from playing online.

Below are some tips for parents or guardians on how to protect minors at home:

  • Keep your username and password details out of reach, and where applicable avoid auto-fill of login details on shared family devices.
  • Always ensure you log out of your Lotteries account to prevent access.
  • Install parental control software which allows you to control and block access to gambling websites both on desktop and mobile devices. Visit the Australian Government's website Stay Smart Online for more information on how to do this.
  • Educate your children about the legality and potential damage of underage gambling.
  • Limit the amount of time your children spend online.

If you feel as a parent or guardian that you may have an issue with underage gambling or just want to learn more, you can visit the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation's website which provides tools and advice on how to talk to your kids about gambling.
