Do you have old lottery tickets laying around? They could be hidden in your top draw, your car console or even under a magnet on your fridge? 

We’re urging players to check any tickets as there are currently 23 unclaimed division one and major lottery prizes across Australia worth almost $25 million. 

There are nine unclaimed prizes in both Queensland and New South Wales, two in the ACT and one each in Victoria and South Australia. 

These winning tickets were not registered to a player card or an online account, so we have no way of identifying or contacting the mystery winners to unite them with their prize.  

The amount of time you have to claim a prize varies from state to state, but we hope to find all our elusive winners soon!

In Queensland, you have seven years to claim lottery prizes, but in Victoria, you have only six months to claim a prize directly from us – after which you can claim from the Victorian Government.

Currently, the oldest unclaimed division one prize is from a ticket purchased in Morayfield, Queensland. The entry won a Saturday Gold Lotto prize worth $1 million from a draw held June 2015. Imagine finding out you’ve unknowingly been a millionaire for more than five years!

One of the most recent unclaimed division one wins was from last month – a ticket purchased in Cobber Pedy, South Australia, won a Monday X Lotto prize of $1 million. 

The biggest unclaimed lottery win is a $4.8 million Set for Life win from April last year with an entry purchased in Woden in the ACT. 

As you’re cleaning up around the home this January, getting ready for the year ahead, keep an eye out for any unchecked lottery tickets. You could be the winner we’re looking for!
