Australia’s official lotteries donate $500,000 to support communities impacted by floods
On behalf of its customers and retailers, The Lott, the official home of Australia’s lotteries is supporting flood relief efforts in Queensland and New South Wales. We will be making a $500,000 donation to Australian Red Cross — this donation includes $250,000 from Golden Casket unclaimed prize money.
Donations like this are only possible because of our customers and our retailers, some of whom have been directly impacted.
The donation will be made during a special telethon - Australia Unites: Red Cross Flood Appeal – which will be broadcast from 7.30pm AEDT on Saturday 12 March 2022 on Channel 9 and 9Now, Channel 7 and 7Plus and 10 and 10 Play. We encourage Australians to tune in and support this event where they can.
Our contribution continues Australia’s official lotteries history of assisting communities. In 2020, a special Saturday Lotto Bushfire Benefit Draw was conducted, raising $1.8 million for recovery and relief efforts following the bushfires across many parts of Australia in late 2019 and early 2020.
We hope this donation goes some way to helping to provide support to flood-affected Australians and their communities at this challenging time.
